Essie Mint Candy Apple
Say hello to my absolute favorite new nail color: Essie Mint Candy Apple! I had my nails lacquered with this fabulous mint "Tiffany blue -esque" shade on my last manicure, and I cannot stop staring.
Essie polishes are awesome- great colors, chip resistant and very reasonably priced (around $5-$7 per bottle). Also, most nail salons will have this color if you want to test it out on your next manicure or pedicure.
What do you think of this nail polish? Would you dare to lacquer your nails with a mint or turquoise hue? Let me know what you think!

Nail Trend!
Get your nail polish remover out, ladies- We have a hot new trend on our hands (no pun intended)! Black nails are a necessity for this fall, and celebrities have been seen everywhere donning this style on their hands and toes.

Lea Michele, Anna Paquin, January Jones, and Heidi Klum all opted for darker hued nails for this year's Emmy Awards. I love this look, especially for Fall and Winter seasons. If you didn't get to read it, I recently did a recap of my best and worst dressed for the Emmy Awards 2010 (Click Here: Fab-YOU-lous: Emmy Awards- My Best and Worst Dressed Stars).

You too can accomplish this look and experiment with this trend! I would recommend purchasing OPI 'Black Onyx' polish color (you can purchase this color at nail salons or beauty stores that sell OPI) or Sephora by OPI 'What's a Tire Jack?' nail color (available for purchase at Sephora). Both of these colors are available for under $10, and are a great investment to experiment with!
Thanks for reading and enjoy experimenting with this hot new trend!
Stay Fabulous xoxo

BEST MANICURE OF MY LIFE!!!

Since I am lucky enough to be in NYC currently, a hub and mecca of nail salons, I was able to find a FABULOUS establishment that specializes in applying Calgel to your nails. I went to Marie Nails, which is located in the SoHo area, yesterday evening.
I had a vague idea of what I wanted done, but not a completely formed idea due to the vast amount of designs possible (I am SO bad at decisions). Calgel is available in over 80 colors, but the possibilities of designs are truly infinite. When I arrived at Marie Nails, my amazing nail technician directed me to a stack of huge books with thousands of designs, following up with "We can do anything!"

I decided to go with a white and glitter gradation design (fading from clear to glitter to white) and then got rhinestones applied and a rose painted on both of my ring fingers to top it off! It took around 1.5 hours total and cost $55. I LOVE IT!!!!
I am SO pleased with the ways my nails look and the experience as a whole- I got so many compliments today already! I am excited to see how they hold up over time (they should last 3 weeks without any chips or lifting) and I can't wait to experiment and get more crazy with the designs. Every time I look down at my nails I can't help but smile! :)
Here is the FINAL PRODUCT:
Verdict= FABULOUS! (5/5 stars)
I got my nails done at Marie Nails in SoHo, NYC.
Total cost for this design was $55; Prices start at $40 for plain colors and go up from there depending on design and art; Prices vary at different salons.
Stay Fabulous xoxo
