Because I Can Never Settle for Less than 5 of Anything I Love...

I am guilty of it again.... Once I find something that I love, I become obsessive and buy it in every color, shade, variation, etc. Well, fashionistas, it has happened to me yet again... I am head over heels in love with Deborah Lippmann nail polishes- I have purchase 5 bottles in two weeks! My first splurges on her polish were with Bad Romance (purple glitter polish with a dark black background) and My Old Flame (a true pure red). I fell so in love with these long-lasting colors that I soon found myself splurging for more.
May I introduce the fabulous "Get This Party Started" nail trio by Deborah Lippmann. This set is an exclusive of Nordstrom and was introduced during their anniversary sale. I love the value that is always in a set of beauty products- It is a $54 value, for $42... always good to save a few dollars every change you can!
Candy Shop
Happy Birthday
Forget You
Get This Party Started, a set of three fabulous glitters lacquers, was inspired by the overwhelming demand for her best-selling Happy Birthday shade, which is basically confetti in a bottle. The set includes the amazing Happy Birthday shade, along with two new variations of this fabulously popular glitter: Forget You, with a black base, and Candy Shop, with a bubblegum-pink base.
I won't lie, I was skeptical, having tried many glitter polishes in the past that were thin and looked awkward. I understoof all of the hype about this brand after using some of Lippmann's other shades, which really impressed me, so I figured that I would give these glitters a shot because Deborah Lippmann has a reputation for being the best out there when it comes to glitter nail polish.
Trust me, this set will NOT disappoint. You can layer the glitter on over any of your favorite polishes or wear it alone. The best part is how smooth it comes out and how little you need to use! As seen above, I layered Happy Birthday over my manicure with Lippmann's My Old Flame- I only used ONE coat!
As seen in the above photo, I layered Candy Shop over my pedicure of Lippmann's Bad Romance, and the outcome was fabulous! Again, I only used one coat! Can you believe it?!
As seen in the above photo, I painted one of my nails as an accent with Candy Shop. On my other nails is Essie Limo Scene, my favorite light pink/clear shade. I love the look of having one nail painted with a fun, pure glitter shade- Candy Shop is perfect!
From now on, I am a die-hard true fan of Deborah Lippmann polishes. I absolutely adore her fun shades and festive glitters and will absolutely be purchasing more! They last extremely long chip-free, go on smooth, and have such a vibrant potent color- I promise your nails will look absolutely stunning!
'I love how festive all three look and feel, whether wrapped around a champagne glass or peeping out of a glamorous pump. But what I truly love the most: how a few coats of any shade instantly transforms you into the life of the party.' - Deborah Lippmann

Deborah Lippmann "Bad Romance" Nail Lacquer

Say hello to my new favorite fierce nail polish- BAD ROMANCE by Deborah Lippmann. This polish is inspired by none other than the fabulous Lady Gaga.
This blackened fuschia glitter nail lacquer is perfect in every single way. Amazing on toes, fingers, or both, I promise everyone will compliment you on this unique shade.
This is actually my first Deborah Lippmann nail polish purchase, and I couldn't be happier with it. I have already ordered another color, which will be arriving soon, so look forward to a post about the beautiful Hollywood starlet red lacquer, My Old Flame.
When it comes to nail polish, Lippmann can do no wrong. Lippmann’s products are all free of toluene, formaldehyde, and DBP, which means they’re actually good for you. The best thing about Lippmann polishes is not only that the colors are fabulous beyond belief, but that they last chip-free for SO LONG! You get what you pay for, I promise!
You can purchase this polish online and in department stores (Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom)

Bare Escentuals Body Lingerie Shimmer

Everything is better when you add a bit of sparkle! The Bare Escentuals Body Lingerie Luminous Body Shimmer will add a bit of sparkle and shine to your everyday life. This vintage inspired atomizer can be used to sprinkle your body, arms, legs, and chest with a light shimmering sparkle powder that is infused with a beautifully natural scent of vanilla.

Bare Escentuals Body Lingerie Shimmer adds a golden glow and silky finish to your skin in a way that is very adult and chic, unlike many other body shimmers which can look extremely childish. This stuff is perfect!! And I can't help but be in love with the bottle and design. There is something so 'old Hollywood glamour' about the atomizer, I just love spritzing myself and the amazing little 'poof' sound that it makes!

You can purchase Bare Escentuals Body Lingerie Shimmer at Sephora.
Retail Price: $29

I Love Louboutin!

OMG- Christian Louboutin never fails to impress- These fantastic Swarovski crystal and mesh ankle boots are to die for! This shoe is from the Fall 2010 Christian Louboutin shoe collection (as was one of my previous Want It Wednesday posts, Click here: Fab-YOU-lous: Want It Wednesday). This crystal and mesh boot (seen in the picture above) is my new favorite from the collection- I swear they are just screaming 'Annie'! I adore them :)
In this collection, Christian Louboutin is getting some use out the Swarovski crystal trend by dousing many of his new styles with sparkling and shimmering crystals! The design seen above is a nude lace and Swarovski crystal hidden-platform pump- it sort of has a ballerina feminine vibe to it, which I am loving!
This shoe, another one of my favorites, featured above is a double-platform satin sandal with crisscross straps, buckle detail, and a Swarovski crystal-covered heel. Another amazing design by Louboutin!

All of these shoes are from the Fall 2010 collection, so you can only pre-order them as of now; however, I am SO looking forward to seeing them in person in stores soon- I have to try them all on!

I love Christian Louboutin shoes- his designs are all 100% FABULOUS!

I'm Going Mad!

Mad as a Hatter, that is ;) It was a usual day- I decided to go to the nail salon to get a much needed, stress-relieving pedicure, but BAMMM I stopped dead in my tracks when my eyes laid sight on this color: OPI Mad as a Hatter- A fantastically fun pure multicolor glitter color, like nothing I had ever seen before.

This color was a part of OPI's collection created especially for Disney's Alice in Wonderland movie. There were 4 colors released earlier this year in this special edition collection- Mad as a Hatter (multicolored purple/silver glitter), Absolutely Alice (blue glitter), Off with her Red (tomato red color), and Thanks so Muchness!(berry red metallic shimmer).

At first I was unsure of the Mad as a Hatter color, especially because it is summer, and I tend to choose more bright/bold colors in the summer (bright red, pink, blue, etc). However, I LOVE glitter, and this color is truly 100% pure glitter, like no other nail color I have ever seen, so I knew I would regret it if I didn't give it a shot. Well, thank goodness I went with my gut because I am OBSESSED with this polish! It is so amazing, and even more fabulous in the summertime with the summer sun hitting my toes and making them so shiny and sparkly!

I NEED to get my hands on this color, but unfortunately it is sold out everywhere and is priced around $20 for one bottle anywhere I can find it online (Very expensive when a regular OPI polish runs around $8.50); but, I am so obsessed I may splurge on it- I am so infatuated with this color, I can't stop staring at my toes!

Verdict= FABULOUS!!! (5/5 stars)

UPDATE!!- I found this polish! Woohooo! I was walking around the mall and decided to peek into a few nail salons, not really thinking that they would have it, but crossing my fingers just in case, and there it was! The sole lonely brand new 'Mad Hatter' bottle of polish in the for sale section of polishes. I scooped it up immediately, and better yet, it only cost $8! So excited about this amazing find, especially since I was so close to purchasing the color for $20 online!

Want It Wednesday!

Crystyled has taken rhinestone glitz to another level! This week's "Want it" item is fabulous to say the least, and is so my style! This amazing case seen above is my swoon-worthy item for this week- how could you not love this sparkling design? And of course it is in my favorite color: pink!
Crystyled is an amazing company that can bling out almost anything you wish- they transform ordinary items, such as cell phones, car keys, kindles, laptops, and iPods, into glamorously fabulous pieces of art!
Their awesome cell phone cases have been seen on numerous celebrities, including Kim Kardashian. She blogged "OMG! Look what crystyled.com made me! Custom made Blackberry cases! Thank you so much! I love this!" about the case pictured above. Crystyled made Kim a custom "DASH" case as well- she blogged about it "Here’s another amazing case crystyled.com sent me! Every Dash doll should have one of these, LOL. Did you see the other case they made me? I die for these!" The cases have also been featured in "COSMOPOLITAN" (as seen below).
These cases are so amazing, I would LOVE to have one for my iPhone 3GS! Also, the car keys are so to die for! I love absolutely everything featured on their website, so fabulous!!!

What do you all think? How fabulous is Crystyled?! I LOVE IT & I WANT IT! You can check out all of their designs and prices at www.Crystyled.com

Want It Wednesday!

This week's "Want It Wednesday" item is such a classic: Christian Louboutin pumps! But they are not just any pumps, they're fuchsia glitter pumps!! These whimsical and glamorous pumps have a five and 1/2 inch heel with a hidden platform; And, of course, Louboutin's signature red sole is a fabulous and classic addition to this pump.
Seriously, what fashionista couldn't adore these amazing pumps- they remind me so much of a Barbie doll! I absolutely love the glitz and glitter, so adding fuchsia and Louboutin to the equation can only make these pumps that much better! These amazing pumps are truly perfection and are definitely my lust after item for the week.

You can purchase these Christian Louboutin Declic Glitter Pumps at Saks.

BEST MANICURE OF MY LIFE!!!

Oh my goodness, words can not describe how OBSESSED I am with my nails right now!! After lots of lust and research, I finally got Calgel put on my nails, and truthfully I have never had a better manicure in my life! Calgel is a superior nail system that not only promotes nail heath, strength, and growth, but also last over 3 weeks without chipping, lifting, or peeling- Calgel is my dream come true!

Since I am lucky enough to be in NYC currently, a hub and mecca of nail salons, I was able to find a FABULOUS establishment that specializes in applying Calgel to your nails. I went to Marie Nails, which is located in the SoHo area, yesterday evening.

I had a vague idea of what I wanted done, but not a completely formed idea due to the vast amount of designs possible (I am SO bad at decisions). Calgel is available in over 80 colors, but the possibilities of designs are truly infinite. When I arrived at Marie Nails, my amazing nail technician directed me to a stack of huge books with thousands of designs, following up with "We can do anything!"
Well she wasn't kidding, they honestly can do anything you could possibly dream to your nails- from leopard print to glitter to a Hello Kitty 3-D face! And even more fabulously, it is all hand-painted on by the nail technician- no stickers or stencils used here at all- this is truly art! You can opt to get 3-D art too, which sounds so cool, but being a first-timer I didn't want to go all out just yet.
I decided to go with a white and glitter gradation design (fading from clear to glitter to white) and then got rhinestones applied and a rose painted on both of my ring fingers to top it off! It took around 1.5 hours total and cost $55. I LOVE IT!!!!

I am SO pleased with the ways my nails look and the experience as a whole- I got so many compliments today already! I am excited to see how they hold up over time (they should last 3 weeks without any chips or lifting) and I can't wait to experiment and get more crazy with the designs. Every time I look down at my nails I can't help but smile! :)

Here is the FINAL PRODUCT:
Verdict= FABULOUS! (5/5 stars)

I got my nails done at Marie Nails in SoHo, NYC.
Total cost for this design was $55; Prices start at $40 for plain colors and go up from there depending on design and art; Prices vary at different salons.
