The Cambridge Satchel

Say hello to my newest obsession- The Cambridge Satchel Company! These bags have been featured in every fashion-forward, trendy magazine, such as Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire. These chic satchels have been seen from USA to London and all around the world as the hippest and hottest style.
This is seriously the hottest bag of the season, fashionistas- trendy, yet classic and chic, it is a must have! The Cambridge Satchel Company handcrafts each of their bags in Britain from 100% leather. The sizes available are 11", 13", 14", and 15" in a huge variety of colors. They even offer monogramming- how cool!

I am particularly obsessed with their newest line, the 'Fluro' leather satchel. This neon line of bags, available in bright pink, orange, yellow and green, is spot-on trend with the color blocking and bold colors trend happening right now. The sizes available are 11", 13", 14", and 15". I personally adore the 13 inch fluro orange leather satchel- The bag features a main compartment with front pocket, two buckle fastenings,  and a long cross body strap.
What do you think of this satchel bag? Would you rock it in a neon color?
I just purchased my first Cambridge Satchel in a beautiful purple. I purchased the 15" version, perfect for school as it is large enough for my laptop and books. I cannot wait for it to arrive!! I promise to post pictures!

You can purchase this bag at www.cambridgesatchel.co.uk
Retail Prices range from roughly $150-$230 USD- most distributors of this bag are in the UK so shipping costs must be taken into account as well.

I Love Louboutin!

OMG- Christian Louboutin never fails to impress- These fantastic Swarovski crystal and mesh ankle boots are to die for! This shoe is from the Fall 2010 Christian Louboutin shoe collection (as was one of my previous Want It Wednesday posts, Click here: Fab-YOU-lous: Want It Wednesday). This crystal and mesh boot (seen in the picture above) is my new favorite from the collection- I swear they are just screaming 'Annie'! I adore them :)
In this collection, Christian Louboutin is getting some use out the Swarovski crystal trend by dousing many of his new styles with sparkling and shimmering crystals! The design seen above is a nude lace and Swarovski crystal hidden-platform pump- it sort of has a ballerina feminine vibe to it, which I am loving!
This shoe, another one of my favorites, featured above is a double-platform satin sandal with crisscross straps, buckle detail, and a Swarovski crystal-covered heel. Another amazing design by Louboutin!

All of these shoes are from the Fall 2010 collection, so you can only pre-order them as of now; however, I am SO looking forward to seeing them in person in stores soon- I have to try them all on!

I love Christian Louboutin shoes- his designs are all 100% FABULOUS!

A New Twist to an Old Favorite

Ok, I am officially OBSESSED!! Awhile ago I posted about my favorite mascara ever- Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash mascara in black. It is such a sultry mascara that really pumps up the volume of your lashes, and is one of the most essential products in my day-to-day makeup regime. Well, ladies, just when I thought it couldn't get any better, IT DID! Bare Escentuals has come out with a new twist to my favorite mascara: Introducing the Buxom Lash Mascara Special Effects Blue Noir.

I am usually an 'all black' type of girl when it comes to my makeup (and clothing a lot of times hehe)- I always use black mascara and black liner- so switching from my usual pure black to a fierce bright blue was completely out of my makeup comfort zone. However, I took a risk and purchased this product at my local Sephora, not sure how much I was going to like it. I love the original black mascara and all products from the Bare Escentuals Buxom line, so I figured I couldn't go wrong. After being able to use it myself, I seriously couldn't be happier with the look it gives me!

You can go back to my previous post to read about how amazing the original Buxom lash mascara is (Click Here: Fab-YOU-lous: My Secret to Perfect Lashes) This Blue Noir mascara is exactly the same formula as the original black Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash that I love so much- It gives you big, thick, clump-free and flake-free lashes.

The fabulous color is where the Special Effects Blue Noir differs from the original- This blue color may look scary at first on the brush, but once you apply this to your lashes you will be so excited with the results you achieve. The blue is not as bright as it looks at all, actually it is not even close to it- the color is quite subtle, and does wonders on your eyes- it makes your eyeballs look incredibly white and big! You can layer the Blue Noir on alone (trust me it is VERY subtle blue and you can't notice unless you're up close); But if it scares you a bit, you can always put a coat of black on first then layer a few coats of the Blue Noir on top- this will give you an even more barely noticeable blue hint to your lashes.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with this mascara- I adore this color, and I hope you do too if you try it out- You won't regret it!

Verdict= FABULOUS!!! (5/5 stars)

You can purchase the Bare Escentuals Buxom lash mascara in Blue noir at Sephora stores or Bare Escentuals stores.
Retail Price: $18

I'm Going Mad!

Mad as a Hatter, that is ;) It was a usual day- I decided to go to the nail salon to get a much needed, stress-relieving pedicure, but BAMMM I stopped dead in my tracks when my eyes laid sight on this color: OPI Mad as a Hatter- A fantastically fun pure multicolor glitter color, like nothing I had ever seen before.

This color was a part of OPI's collection created especially for Disney's Alice in Wonderland movie. There were 4 colors released earlier this year in this special edition collection- Mad as a Hatter (multicolored purple/silver glitter), Absolutely Alice (blue glitter), Off with her Red (tomato red color), and Thanks so Muchness!(berry red metallic shimmer).

At first I was unsure of the Mad as a Hatter color, especially because it is summer, and I tend to choose more bright/bold colors in the summer (bright red, pink, blue, etc). However, I LOVE glitter, and this color is truly 100% pure glitter, like no other nail color I have ever seen, so I knew I would regret it if I didn't give it a shot. Well, thank goodness I went with my gut because I am OBSESSED with this polish! It is so amazing, and even more fabulous in the summertime with the summer sun hitting my toes and making them so shiny and sparkly!

I NEED to get my hands on this color, but unfortunately it is sold out everywhere and is priced around $20 for one bottle anywhere I can find it online (Very expensive when a regular OPI polish runs around $8.50); but, I am so obsessed I may splurge on it- I am so infatuated with this color, I can't stop staring at my toes!

Verdict= FABULOUS!!! (5/5 stars)

UPDATE!!- I found this polish! Woohooo! I was walking around the mall and decided to peek into a few nail salons, not really thinking that they would have it, but crossing my fingers just in case, and there it was! The sole lonely brand new 'Mad Hatter' bottle of polish in the for sale section of polishes. I scooped it up immediately, and better yet, it only cost $8! So excited about this amazing find, especially since I was so close to purchasing the color for $20 online!

Benefit Creaseless Shadow

This, my fellow fashionistas, is my favorite eyeshadow ever- Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner is perfection!
This crease-proof and smudge-proof revolutionary formula will do nothing but impress you. It is wonderfully light and smooth, and allows for flawless blending, which is my favorite part about the product. I love using this cream shadow when I need a buildable and layerable color, whether I want a sheer or dramatic look it always looks gorgeous. It can also be used as a liner for the outer rims of your eyes, which I love playing around with (especially since it doesn't ever crease!)
I personally own the Birthday Suit shade (brushed chrome/shimmery nude) and the Skinny Jeans shade (pretty pewter). These two colors can be worn together or worn separately to create a flawlessly unique look. The Birthday Suit color works gorgeously layered with browns. Skinny Jeans is my go-to color to pair with blacks and grays to create a smokey eye.
Benefit offers this Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in 9 colors at Sephora, so every fashionista can surely find their perfect shade! I would recommend this product to every glamour girl out there who wants their makeup to look beautiful and fabulous all day long.

Verdict= FABULOUS! (5/5 stars)

You can purchase the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner at Sephora (in stores and online).

Hair Accessories 101: Flowers

Continuing with the Hair Accessories 101 series, I would like to now focus on flowers. Putting a flower in your hair is such a classic and fun summer style, which looks lovely on everyone. This look can be achieved by using either real live flowers or fake flowers.
There are so many different flower types and numerous hairstyles to pair with a flower- the possibilities are endless! When done correctly, this look will not be childish or silly at all, as one may originally think of it, but rather it will be playful, youthful, feminine, and chic.
One of my personal favorites hairstyles is a low side bun with a flower in it. It is super simple and easy to complete in less than 1 minute!
Here is how to achieve this look: To create the bun, first pull all of your hair to one side. Grab it as though you were going to make it into a ponytail, and twist the entire ponytail. Twirl the twisted ponytail up and circle it around the base. Secure it with a hair elastic and bobby pins. Secure the style and all frizzies with hairspray. To top off the design, clip your desired flower in front of your bun (in the space between your side bun and your ear).
There are so many possibilities with flowers- try them as headbands and clips, try live flowers and fake flowers, try putting a flower in your hair when it is both down and up. Experiment with flowers in your hair and tell me what you think of this style! Have you found a fun look for yourself? Comment and let me know!

Jack Rogers Navajo Sandals

I recently made such a wonderful purchase that I have to share with all of the fashionistas out there! These classic Jack Rogers Hamptons Navajo Sandals are PERFECT for summer. Almost 50 years after their debut, these Jack Rogers sandals are still the classiest summer sandals around and are a must-have for all fashionistas.
These sandals are crafted from soft leather, have a whip-stitched trim, and a classic flat heel. This hand-laced style is exceptionally well made. They do run a bit small/narrow, but I was assured by the sales associate that the leather would stretch and form to my foot perfectly over time. I can already notice this perfect fit forming after just wearing them for one week. They are very comfortable already, but I can see them becoming even more comfortable with normal wear.
The Navajo sandal comes in so many colors- There is definitely a pattern and color to suit every fashionista's fancy. I personally purchased the 'Platinum' color (as seen in the first picture of this post), which I would really recommend- It is fabulous. This shade is a sort of champagne-ish color that truly goes with everything!
These Jack Rogers sandals are an iconic, sophisticated, and timeless style. As seen in the photo above, even Jackie O was photographed wearing these classic sandals (she made them famous)! These sandals add a timelessly chic vibe to any outfit you pair them with; They are truly a must have item for every fashionista!

Verdict= FABULOUS! (5/5 stars)

You can purchase Jack Rogers 'Navajo' leather sandals at Jack Rogers (in stores and online) or at Nordstrom.

Perfect Weekender Bags

Every fashionista needs to have a good weekender bag available for those last minute trips. Especially in the summer, I find myself going away for just the weekend- so the questions rises, what bag should I bring with me on my trip? I have two favorite, go-to weekender duffel bags- one for fashionistas on a budget and one for fashionistas willing to splurge.

For fashionistas on a budget, the best weekender bag is the Vera Bradley Large Duffel. I used to use the Vera Bradley small duffel, which is also a great choice, but I was finding that I did not have enough space (the small duffel is more suited for one night away) so I needed to upgrade to something larger.
I just purchased my large duffel before I went away this fourth of July weekend, and I love it! I got the pattern "Totally Turq", which is pictured above on the large duffel. It has the perfect amount of space for a weekend away, it is made of light and durable material, and comes in a plethora of colors and shades. It is an affordable, yet fashionable option for weekend travel.
For fashionistas who can splurge a bit, I adore my Louis Vuitton Keepall 50 with shoulder strap. It is a timeless option when purchased in the classic Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas print. The shoulder strap is a necessity (it is available without it) because the bag is a bit heavy. My favorite little detail/addition to this bag is the luggage tag I got hot stamp monogrammed in metallic gold with my initials. I love traveling with this bag- it makes me feel so fabulous, timeless, and classy. It is a must-have for all glamour girls willing to splurge!
Personally, I love both of these bags for different reasons. I've found that the Vera is perfect for bus rides, especially when you are traveling alone and can not be carrying something too heavy. It is also good when you think that you may get your bag dirty, wet, sandy, etc. Also, the fun colors and patterns are awesome for ladies wanting to express themselves- there is a style for everyone!
The Louie is quite the opposite- I would never take it on a trip where I thought I might get it dirty. It is also quite heavy due to its leather and hardware. I use this bag mostly when I am going on airplane rides (it is the largest size that you can take on the plane with you and store in the above compartments). Since it is heavy, I usually perch it on top of a rolling carry-on and wheel it around. However, it is a classic and durable bag that I know I will love and use for the rest of my life.

You can purchase the Vera Bradley large duffel at Vera Bradley stores and select Hallmark stores
Retail price: $80
You can purchase the Louis Vuitton Keepall 50 at Louis Vuitton stores (ONLY Louis Vuitton and select department store boutiques- like Saks- sell authentic Louis Vuitton; Please DO NOT participate in the counterfeit goods market, only purchase authentic goods that you can afford)
Retail Price: $1,225

Want It Wednesday!

For this week's "Want It" item, I decided to go with something that really caught my eye: this fabulously colorful Versace Floral-Print Stretch-Satin Dress.
This multicolored flower print mini dress is sure to draw attention and turn heads! The primary colors of this bold dress are bright orange and blue, with subtle accent hints of fuchsia, purple, pink, green, and white.
If I had the chance to style someone in this dress, I would first recommend pairing it with these amazing Jimmy Choo Private Patent Leather Sandals in nude. The nude/neutral color is of utmost importance in this styling because the dress is so busy, bold, and colorful. All attention should be on the dress in this case, so your best option is to pair it with a shoe that will not attract much attention. These Jimmy Choo sandals have a 5 inch heel and have a gold zipper closure detail at the back.
As far as jewelry goes with this styling, I once again would recommend sticking to simple designs since all eyes should be on this bold dress. This YSL Arty Flower ring in gold will do the trick- It offers an abstract, golden, floral design, which compliments this dress perfectly. For earrings, just a simple gold stud will work best.

This dress will make such a dramatic statement at any event, and when styled correctly, could really be a jaw-dropper! If only I could have a dress like this, and more importantly, a place to wear it to! ;)

All items included in this post can be purchased at www.Net-A-Porter.com
Retail Prices: Versace Floral-Print Stretch-Satin Dress, $1,775; Jimmy Choo Private Patent Leather Sandals, $950; YSL Arty Flower Ring, $195

Thanks for reading, fashionistas!
