CND Shellac Hybrid Nail Polish

This is a revolutionary new product for nails! Shellac is a breakthrough nail technology, created by CND, that combines the easy application of nail polish with the permanentness and shine of gel nails. Shellac does absolutely no damage to your nails, but last for 14 days! To make it even better, there is absolutely no drying time involved! Shellac polish is cured under a UV light, which makes it hard, shiny, and completely dry when your treatment is finished.
My First Shellac Manicure- French Finish
I got Shellac put on my nails just a few days ago, and I love it! I chose to have a French finish put on my nails instead of using a plain color. They look amazingly shiny and are perfectly smooth- they feel exactly like regular nail polish on your fingers.

After the treatment was over, my nail technician rubbed them with a paper towel, and they were 100% completely dry! I was so in shock because normally I feel like I can't use my fingers for hours after I get a manicure, but this is definitely not the case with Shellac- There is truly NO drying time.
I would completely recommend this service to anyone- if you hate waiting around for your nails to dry, want a manicure to last 14 days without any chips at all, and want a stunningly smooth and shiny mirror-finished nail, then Shellac is for you!

Find a salon that does Shellac near you: http://www.cnd.com/Locate/Shellac-Find-A-Salon.aspx

My service with the French finish cost $35. For plain color it will cost around $25; however, this varies by salon.

Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2011 Fashion Show

I previously reviewed the fantastic new runway purses featured at the Louis Vuitton fashion show (Click here if you missed the post: Fab-YOU-lous: Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 Runway Purses).
Although the purses were show-stopping, the amazing runway show full of gorgeous womenswear is nothing to ignore. Creative Director Marc Jacobs put together a fabulous show for Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2011. The bright colors, fun prints, and exotic flair come together flawlessly to form this Louis Vuitton masterpiece. You can see the full show below:

I hope you adored this show as much as I did! Here are some of my favorite looks:

To die for TOMS!

As I was walking through Neiman Marcus the other day, I came across this amazing gem among the many shoes in their fabulous shoe department! These fantastically chic and edgy Beaumont Skull Velvet Slip-On TOMS are like nothing else!
I previously wrote about TOMS mission, "One for One"- the company donates one pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair purchased (read the full store here: Fab-YOU-lous: TOMS Silver Glitters ) I bought my first pair of TOMS (which are doused in silver glitter) over the summer- I have gotten oodles of compliments every time I wear them and they only get more comfortable with every wear- bonus!
I knew that my first pair of TOMS would not be my last. When I saw these fierce velvet skull designed TOMS it was love at first sight! They are beyond stunning and luxurious, while still edgy and fierce with their embroidered skull design. These TOMS are a Neiman Marcus exclusive shoe, so you won't be finding them anywhere else. I am literally obsessed

You can purchase these fierce Beaumont Skull Velvet Slip-On TOMS at Neiman Marcus
Retail price: $100

Manly Monday!

Happy Manly Monday, fashionistas! I am so pleased to welcome back Darius Eslami, a seasoned guest blogger on Fab-YOU-lous. So without any further adieu, here is Darius with his take on smelling good...

Hello, ladies, look at your email, now back to this blog post, now back at your email, now back to this blog post. You’re in a room with fabulously scented men. What’s in your hand? It’s a mouse. Now click it. Double click it. Outside your window is a bed of roses being planted by a man that looks Ryan Reynolds. Look again ladies, it’s Manly Monday.
As many of you know, scent is a killer sense – often making or breaking first impressions. Now, I’m not here to talk to you about cologne; I am here to divulge my insights into the great Axe versus Old Spice debate. For purposes of this posting (and aside from the intro paragraph), let’s ignore all marketing efforts from each brand and focus on what matters – the way you smell after application. Also, this isn’t really a debate (by all means – debate in the comments with me!).

My personal opinion is that Old Spice is the way to go. I use the Fresh Scent dry deodorant because it has the perfect mixture of keeping you sweat-free, smelling delightful, and having a touch of mountain man musk. Now, there are clearly different scents you can try – Old Spice is just what I have been using recently. Back in the day, I was an Axe user following mainstream culture. Mentally, I started to feel it was covering up smells instead of block them. If you walk by someone, you might make a comment, “He smells like Axe.” I don’t think that is necessarily a good thing. However, Axe does make more sense if you are dealing with the extremes like biking, shredding asphalt, lifting weights, or wrestling bears. Take that as you will.
I think the ideal situation is to use Old Spice as your main deodorant, but so we don’t neglect Axe – make it your spray. In a quick pinch, bust out your mini-can and mark a typical ‘X’ across your chest to at least make you smell differently than perspiration. In fact, I highly recommend the Axe shower scrub too (Snake Peel is chock of us cactus and opens your pores).
Regardless what you feel, you have plenty of options: High Endurance, Classic, Red Zone – and those are broken down even further. After trying various brands though, I always come back to Old Spice. Maybe it’s nostalgia. Maybe it’s my subconscious desire to be a manly pirate. Pirates need to keep fresh, too.

Thanks for the awesome post, Darius! I hope you all smell fresh and fabulous all day :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I hope that everyone has a fabulous day! I had such a blast this Halloween weekend- I thought that I would share some pictures of my costumes with you all!
For one night I was the infamous LADY GAGA- I loved this costume, I really think the lightning bolt made the whole look come together.
For our big Halloween party, I was a dead zombie bride. My boyfriend (who is such a good sport) dressed along with me. We had gashes in our clothing and dirt, stitches, and blood everywhere. It was super creepy and scary, but I LOVED it!

Have a fabulous and safe Halloween, fashionistas! xoxo

Ball and Buck Sorority Collection

Ball and Buck is a fantastic company founded in Boston, MA. Ball and Buck is a true American brand that proudly manufactures all of their products in the USA

Ball and Buck is firmly against labor exploitation and pays premium prices for labor that they could have gotten cheaper somewhere else; however, this does not put them at a disadvantage at all. The garments that Ball and Buck gets from their manufacturers are not only of the highest quality available on the market, but they also get peace of mind of how their products were produced.
I have always loved Ball and Buck clothing, but their brand just got SO much better! I am so excited about Ball and Buck's new Kappa line that they just introduced!
I purchased this black v-neck 3/4 length sleeve shirt (seen above) with the fabulous fleur-de-lis Kappa pocket- obsessed
Ball and Buck is looking to go national with the Kappa Kappa Gamma line and will expand even more. And although I am of course partial to my Sisters of KKG, Ball and Buck is also planning on branching out to other sororities/fraternities as well!

Check out the Kappa Kappa Gamma Collection: http://www.ballandbuck.com/kappa/
All items are currently $36-$40 and take 2-3 weeks for delivery.
