Makeup Brush Shampoo

I cannot emphasize the importance of shampooing and cleansing your makeup brushes enough. It happens to all of us, fashionistas, I know it slips our minds and with busy schedules it definitely gets put on the backburner. Shampooing your makeup brushes will keep your brushes in perfect shape, will prevent any makeup buildup, and will prolong their life.

The brush shampoo that I currently use is Sephora Brand Purifying Brush Shampoo. It works very well, is reasonably priced, and comes in a variety of sizes. This anti-bacterial formula by Sephora will keep your brushes pure and ready to perform like their are brand new.


How to use:
-Dampen brush bristles with lukewarm water.
-Pump a small amount of shampoo into your hand or onto a clean surface.
-Gently swirl the brush into shampoo to create a light lather, working the lather through bristles.
-Rinse thoroughly.
-This mild formula will remove most traces of makeup—to remove more stubborn waterproof makeup, gently rub the bristles while rinsing.
-Once brush is clean, squeeze out excess water with a lint-free tissue.
-Reshape brush and lay flat or upside-down to dry—do not stand brush upright to dry.
