Trend Alert: Monogram Pendant

I have been loving the unique monogram look that has been becoming popular lately. Tons of celebrities from Jennifer aniston to Taylor swift to LC and even Alexis from RHOOC have been seen sporting monograms of their own.

In particular, my favorite way to interpret this trend is the monogram pendant. This trend includes a large pendant that is attached to a chain. The pendant is detailed with your initials ornately carved.

Upon looking for a company to create this unique and personalized pendant for me, I found a plethora; however, they looked made by an engraving machine and I wanted something a bit more ornate and authentic. This led me to find Elygoldart, a craftsman on Etsy- he is an incredibly talented metalsmith who customizes in creating ornately designed monograms. This is my first ever purchase from Etsy, but after reading all of this particular seller's amazing reviews and seeing some photos of his beautiful work, I knew that this is where I had to buy my monogram pendant.

I received my first proof the evening that I purchased my pendant- Ely handdraws each and every proof! My initials are AMM, but I decided to have my monogram made with my first initial, A, in the middle, surrounded by the two M's which I thought would make it more symmetrical.

I ordered a 1 1/2" silver monogram pendant from Ely with an 18" rope chain. The pendant is solid silver and is 1 1/3 cm thick (so won't be flimsy or bend at all). Ely was so easy to work with and his work has impressed me very much, I may be going back to him again in the future for gifts for friends and family. I am so thrilled with my pendant!

This week's fabulous under $100 find is this fantastic Cara Accessories Bib Necklace, which can be purchased right now at Nordstrom (in stores and online). Gorgeous! That is all I have to say about this stunning piece by Ranjana Khan. This show-shopper Lapis Bead Bib necklace by Ranjana Khan is my fabulous 'Want It' item for the week! While perusing through Saks, my eyes got a treat when they came upon this gorgeous piece sparkling!
A rich array of chunky lapis stone beads, clear and colored bright crystals, set in brass come together in this fun necklace. The backing of the necklace is made of pure silk, allowing a comfortable and luxurious fit for the lucky wearer of this feminine and trendy necklace. I love this piece, and wish I could add it to my collection!

My Most-Loved Necklace

I have always been a jewelry lover, but never in my life have I ever loved a necklace more than this one. My classic Chanel long pearl necklace with interlocking C's is my absolute FAVORITE!

I dreamed about purchasing this necklace for a very long time, and finally splurged and received it as an early Christmas present last year from my amazing parents :) I had seen countless pictures of celebrities, socialites, and fashionistas alike sporting their Chanel pearl necklaces, which only increased my love and obsession for it, and made me want it even more.

This Chanel piece is classic and timeless- pearls, I promise you, will never go out of style. The interlocking C's are not too flashy or bold, but still let you know that the necklace is Chanel. You can wear this piece long (my preferred way) or double it up and wear it short. I love wearing this necklace with a simple black dress, black tights, and black & white shoes, which totally reinforces the classic Chanel black & white look.
Whenever I put this necklace on it truly makes me feel special- it is the most beautiful necklace I own and I know that I will treasure, appreciate, and love it for the rest of my life.
