Glamour Era- Mineralize Rich Lipstick

Whenever I go by a MAC store I always ask the makeup artists who work there what they have that is new and fabulous. Well yesterday I was introduced to an amazing new lipstick that I had to share.

Introducing the new Mineralize Rich lipstick, a new masterpiece for lips by MAC! This lipstick has a luxurious, lightweight formula enhanced with 77-Mineral Moist complex for nutrient-rich moisture.

The impact is amazing! You get instantly softer and smoother lips with fabulous color. The packaging on this lipstick is new and so sleek- this larger lipstick "bullet" delivers a fuller, smoother application in a single stroke. It's awesome!

This new formula comes in 12 new shades with bright, colour retention. I purchased "Glamour Era"- it is the perfect color for a day at work or a night out- neutral with a rouge undertone.

My Favorite Makeup Brush

I have been on the search for the perfect all-over color and bronzer brush for awhile now. I wanted something high-quality that would last me awhile and be my "go-to". In my search for this perfect brush, I came upon this gem, which has fulfilled all of my needs and wants perfectly. Say hello to the MAC 187 large Duo Fibre Brush.

This large full circular brush is perfect for blending, all-over color and bronzer application; it works great to create soft layers and add textures to your look. The brush is made from a soft blend of goat hair and synthetic fibres.

MAC Haute & Naughty Mascara

This is an AMAZING new product in my daily beauty regime. I found out about the Haute & Naughty mascara in the MAC Times Square store in NYC. It was a suggestion of a rather fierce woman who worked there, so I figured I would give it a try. Well I am SO pleased, I absolutely love this mascara!

Packaging

Haute & Naughty by MAC is a two-in-one mascara that lets you choose how you want your lashes, whether natural and defined or fully loaded on for the optimal drama. The mascara has a dual-wiper system that allows the mascara to go on either way (heavier or lighter). As seen in the photos in this post, if you unscrew the mascara from the pink section then your mascara wand will be essentially "squeegeed" out so that you can have more natural and defined lashes. If you unscrew the mascara so that the purple glitter and hot pink sections are out, then you will have the optimal bold impact for your lashes. Basically, one wiper refines the application for a clean sweep, while the other loads the lashes for greater impact.

I live for dramatic lashes so I usually use the purple glitter and pink sections together for my upper lashes. The pink section is absolutely perfect for lower lashes, as it has just the perfect amount of mascara on the brush.

I love MAC beauty products, and I am obsessed whenever they come out a new collection. Without fail, my obsession with their new Wonder Woman line has consumed me! This line of products is without a doubt my favorite thus far- the colors, product options, and packaging are all perfectly spot on.

Fabulous Friday Finds: Under $50

MAC Look in a Box

I love MAC Cosmetics- they are of very high quality, have inventive designs, and never disappoint. However, although MAC isn't ridiculously expensive, it is still quite pricey- especially when you buy things separately, and it is unfortunately rare that MAC offers a kit or value set for us fashionistas to stock up and save some money. Well, ladies, our problem is solved- MAC and Nordstrom have teamed up to offer the MAC Look in a Box kit!
This kit is a Nordstrom Beauty Exclusive created especially for their huge Anniversary sale that happens every year. They seem to be making these MAC Look in a Box kits an annual thing- I purchased last year's set at the Anniversary sale, and I love it! I am actually wearing the Dazzleglass lipgloss from that kit as I write this blog post ;)
This year Nordstrom and MAC have worked together to change the kit and update it with the newest and hottest trends, looks, and styles from this year's MAC makeup lines. The Look in a Box kit comes in three different options- Tawny One (golden brown look), Miss Violet (deep pink and purple look), and Frisky Girl (pale pink and nude look). Each kit includes a mascara, gloss, powder, blush, and eyeshadow that go with the desired look. In addition, the kit includes a face chart (like the picture above) so that you can create your desired chosen look.
This kit is a necessity for every fashionista- choose a look that works best for you and that you personally desire the most. I am so excited that Nordstrom is offering this kit again, and I definitely plan on buying one- I am leaning towards the gorgeous pinks and nudes in the Frisky Girl look.
